Green Waste Removal & Garden Clean Ups in North East Adelaide

Prunings, branches, hedge cuttings and overgrown yards cleared, loaded and taken away for green recycling.

5.0 out of 5 stars from 17 Google reviews (opens in a new tab)

Your green bin holds one fortnight’s clippings. A big prune, a hedge trim or a backyard that’s got away from you is a different story. We load the lot and take it away in one visit.

We work in tight backyards, along fence lines and down narrow side paths — places a skip bin or a truck can’t reach.

Garden clean ups, not just pick-ups

If you’ve already done the cutting, we’ll load and remove it. If the yard needs a proper tidy first, we can do that too — clearing beds, pulling weeds, raking out leaf litter and leaving the area clean.

It’s a popular job before a house goes on the market, at the end of a lease, or when a rental has been left to get overgrown.

Recycled, not dumped

Clean green waste is taken to green organics recycling where it’s turned into mulch and compost, rather than going to landfill with general rubbish.

Green waste across the north-east

Big gum trees, established hedges and generous backyards mean a lot of green waste in suburbs like Golden Grove, Tea Tree Gully, Banksia Park and Salisbury Heights. Council green bins and drop-off days help with the steady trickle, but a major prune, a storm clean-up or a neglected rental yard needs a faster answer. That’s where a one-visit green waste removal makes sense.

We cover the whole north-east and north — including Golden Grove, Greenwith, Wynn Vale, Tea Tree Gully, Banksia Park, Fairview Park, Ridgehaven, Modbury, Highbury and Hope Valley. See all areas we service.

Local Know-How

Green Waste in Adelaide: what to know

South Australia has its own rules for what can go to landfill and what has to be recycled. Here’s what matters for this kind of job.

Green waste options around the north-east

Tea Tree Gully residents can use the council’s free Enviro Care green waste drop-off days at St Agnes, and Salisbury households can book a free spring garden organics voucher for a NAWMA centre. For a big prune or overgrown yard that’s more than a bin or a trailer trip, a green waste removal clears it in one visit.

SA’s waste levy rewards recycling

Every tonne of rubbish landfilled in metropolitan Adelaide attracts the EPA’s solid waste levy — $171 a tonne in 2026–27, paid by the disposal site and passed on in tip fees. Sorting green waste, metal and cardboard out of a load keeps it out of landfill, which is better for the environment and helps keep your price down.

Council hard waste has limits

North-east councils offer free hard waste collections, but with caps: Tea Tree Gully gives two free at-call collections a year (hard waste or mattresses), while Salisbury and Playford households get two NAWMA services a year of up to 2 cubic metres. None of them take green waste or building materials — that’s where a private removal fills the gap.

Our Process

How a green waste job works

No guesswork and no surprises. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you get in touch to the moment we drive away.

  1. 01

Send a photo of the pile or the yard

Show us what’s been cut, or the area that needs clearing. Tell us if branches are already cut down or if the garden still needs tidying first.

  2. 02

    Upfront price and timing

We quote the job as a fixed price — removal only, or clean-up and removal — and book a time that works around your weekend or your tenants.

  3. 03

    Access check on arrival

We look at the route out to the trailer, protect paved areas where needed, and confirm which plants, pots and edging are staying.

  4. 04

    Clear, bag or carry out

Branches are cut down to a manageable size on site, then carried out by hand — through side gates and narrow paths where machinery can’t go.

  5. 05

    Rake and tidy

Leaf litter and small debris are raked up, paths swept and beds left neat. If you’ve asked for mulch, it goes down last.

  6. 06

    Taken for organics recycling

Clean green waste is delivered to green organics processing, where it’s turned into compost and mulch rather than buried in landfill.

Transparent Pricing

Upfront prices, explained

Green waste is light but bulky, so it’s priced mainly on volume. A neat pile of prunings is quicker to load than loose branches spread through a yard, and the quote reflects the actual work involved — not a flat “one size fits all” rate.

Your price covers loading, transport and organics recycling fees. If you’d like the garden tidied as well — weeding, raking, clearing beds — we’ll quote that as part of the same job so you know the full cost before we start.

Green waste needs to be kept separate to be recycled. If there’s general rubbish mixed in, let us know; we’ll separate it and price it accordingly rather than surprising you later.

What affects the price

  • Total volume of prunings or vegetation
  • Whether it’s already cut and piled, or needs clearing
  • Stumps, root balls and soil, which are heavy
  • Access — long carries or no side gate

Pay by card, cash, bank transfer or Afterpay. Every job comes with a tax invoice.

How We Work

Professional on every job

Gardens are personal. We check what’s staying before we touch anything, work around irrigation and garden lights, and keep clippings off neighbours’ driveways and footpaths.

We’re happy to work while you’re out, provided we can get in safely. We’ll message when we arrive and again when we’re done, so you’re never left wondering whether the job happened.

  • Plants and features you’re keeping are left alone
  • Paths and driveways swept clean
  • Neighbours’ property kept clear
  • Green waste recycled, not dumped
  • Message on arrival and completion

FAQ

Green Waste FAQs

Can't see your question? Send us the job details and we'll get back to you.

Can you take whole tree branches?

Yes. Cut branches of most sizes are fine. We don’t fell trees, but we’ll happily remove what an arborist or you have already cut down.

Do you mulch or tidy gardens as well?

Yes — we do garden clean ups and can spread fresh mulch as part of a property maintenance job.

Can you get into a backyard with no side access?

Usually. We carry everything out by hand, so a narrow side path or a walk-through is not a problem.

Can you remove palm fronds and spiky plants?

Yes. Palms, yuccas, agaves and roses are all fine — we bring heavy gloves and handle them carefully.

Do you take soil or rocks?

Small amounts mixed with garden waste are fine. Large quantities of soil, rock or rubble are heavy and priced separately, so mention them when you ask for a quote.

Is this cheaper than a skip?

For most garden clean-ups, yes — you only pay for what we take, the loading is included, and there’s no skip sitting on the driveway for a week.
