Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
In plain English
We only collect the details we need to quote and do your job — usually your name, contact details, suburb or address, and a description or photos of the work. We use them to reply to you, book the job and send your invoice. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t publish photos of your property without asking first. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time. The full policy below explains each of these points; if this summary and the full policy ever differ, the full policy applies.
1. Who We Are
North-Eastern Property Solutions operates at northeasternpropertysolutions.com.au and provides waste removal, construction clean up and property maintenance services across North East Adelaide, South Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" or "our" refers to North-Eastern Property Solutions.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information you provide when:
- Filling in a quote request form on our website
- Calling us or communicating by email
- Booking a job with our team
This information may include your name, phone number, email address, property address and details about your rubbish removal requirements.
What the quote form asks for
Our online quote form asks for your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the type of service you’re interested in, a preferred date and time and a description of the job. Only your name and phone number are required — you choose how much detail to give. When you submit the form, the details are sent to us by email so we can reply. If you’d rather not use the form, you can email us or message us on Facebook instead.
Information about other people
Sometimes you may give us details about someone else — for example, a property manager passing on a tenant’s contact number so we can arrange access, or a family member organising a clean up for a relative. Please only do this where that person would reasonably expect it, and only share what we need to do the job.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to quote requests and enquiries
- Schedule and deliver waste removal, construction clean up and property maintenance services
- Send service-related communications
- Improve our services and website
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
Our website is hosted by Vercel, quote requests are delivered to us by email through Resend, and we may use Google Analytics and Facebook Messenger. These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
5. Photos Taken on Job Sites
We may take photos before, during or after a job for the following purposes:
- Documenting the volume of rubbish for our internal records and your invoice
- Recording any pre-existing damage to property at the start of a job (to keep our liability fair)
- Confirming completion of the job for your reference and ours
- Disposal documentation for estate, insurance or commercial clients on request
Job photos are stored privately. We do not publish photos of your property, contents or address. If we'd like to use a photo for marketing — for example a before/after garage cleanout — we will ask for your permission first and make sure no address, people or identifying details are shown.
Photos you send us
Photos you send us by email or Facebook Messenger help us price the job accurately. They’re handled the same way as the rest of your enquiry — used to quote and plan the work, and not published. To keep things simple, try to take photos that show the rubbish or work area rather than people, documents or personal items.
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. This data is anonymised and aggregated. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting our ability to provide service.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers without prior consent. Marketing pixels, if any, will be disclosed in this policy and operated only with appropriate consent banners.
Your choices
If you don’t want your visit counted in analytics, you can block or clear cookies in your browser, use your browser’s private mode, or install Google’s own analytics opt-out browser add-on. The quote form and the rest of the website still work if you do.
7. Data Retention
Personal information collected through quote requests is retained for the period reasonably necessary to provide service and meet our record-keeping obligations:
- Quote-only enquiries (no booking made): retained for 12 months then deleted
- Completed jobs: customer details retained for 7 years to meet ATO record-keeping requirements for tax invoices
- Job site photos: retained for 12 months then deleted (longer if you've requested a disposal record for legal or insurance reasons)
- Marketing email addresses (where you've opted in): retained until you unsubscribe
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Customer data stored in our CRM is access-restricted to authorised staff only. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.
If we suffer a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. We keep customer information confidential.
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at james@northeasternpropertysolutions.com.au to exercise these rights. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
What a request looks like
Just email us and say what you’d like — for example, “please send me what you hold about me” or “please delete my quote request”. We may ask a simple question to confirm it’s really you before we share or change anything. Some records, such as tax invoices for completed jobs, may need to be kept for the period described in section 7 even if you ask us to delete them; if so, we’ll explain why.
If you’re not happy
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) through its website, oaic.gov.au.
